This is a common approach; it allows your employees to be seen, but it is also easy for them to take on and off as needed. The disadvantage of a sleeveless hi-vis vest is that it may not offer the protection needed from inclement weather or dust and dirt, which may be necessary depending on the environment where it is being worn. It is always best to consult widely with your team before you introduce a workwear policy. Ask the people who are doing the job what level of protection would be best for them.
